What makes a signature survive a real mail client
Most signature generators produce markup that looks right in the browser preview and falls apart in the inbox. These are the six rules that decide it, and every design here follows them.
Tables and inline styles
Outlook on Windows renders through Microsoft Word. Flexbox, CSS grid, stylesheets and max-width do nothing. Tables and inline styles do.
Sized image tags
Word sizes an image from its intrinsic pixels unless the tag carries both width and height attributes. Miss them and a 1200px logo arrives 1200px wide.
Real text, never a picture
Image-only signatures go blank when images are blocked, cannot be clicked, cannot be selected and cannot be searched.
Explicit colour everywhere
Dark mode inverts anything left to default. Setting every colour, and a background, keeps it readable both ways.
Tappable on a phone
Phone numbers as tel: links and addresses as mailto: links, inside 600 pixels so nothing scrolls sideways.
One small hosted logo
One file on a fixed HTTPS address. No attachment, so it does not paperclip every reply, and no tracking pixel.
Why your signature matters more than you think
The average professional sends around 40 business emails a day. That is more than 10,000 signed messages a year, and most of them waste the moment with either nothing at all or a cluttered wall of social icons, legal text and mismatched fonts.
A clean signature costs nothing and gives every message a last, credible impression of who you are and how to reach you. Keep it short: name, title, company, one phone number, one link. If someone can read it in two seconds, it is doing its job.

Why does my email signature look broken in Outlook?
Outlook on Windows renders mail through Microsoft Word, not a browser. Word ignores flexbox, CSS grid, external stylesheets and max-width, and it resizes images from their intrinsic pixel size unless the tag carries both width and height attributes. Every design here is built as a table with inline styles and sized image tags, which is what Word can actually render.
Should my signature be an image?
No. An image signature disappears when the recipient blocks images, which many corporate mail servers do by default, and nobody can select your phone number or click your email address. It also cannot be searched. Use real text with one small logo.
Will it work on a phone?
Yes. Phone numbers use tel: links and email addresses use mailto: links, so both are tappable, and nothing is wider than about 600 pixels.
What happens in dark mode?
Every colour is set explicitly and the signature carries a white background, so Outlook and Apple Mail cannot invert it into something unreadable.
Is it really free?
